Aerial connections

As the Freedom caravan doesn’t have a built in aerial, I have bought a caramast to fit the jockey wheel, and a small collapsible high gain aerial, with the cable currently being jammed in the door!

A neater solution would be to have a point I could connect the aerial coaxial cable to, and from inside another cable going to the television from that point.

Having had an extra mains socket fitted to the outside, I wondered if there would be a space I could fit a coupling in to achieve this. Beside the plug, there is a lot of room, so I drilled a hole to fit the coupling ( a female coax to female f type ).

I then cut down the coaxial cable, to leave enough inside the caravan to reach the TV position, fitted a screw on f type connector for the coupling to make a secure and permanent connection. Added a new male coax connector to the rest of the cable, so now I can just plug it in to the new fitting from the outside.
